Tips For Your AeroGardening Success WATER CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE Plants that grow aeroponically need water that falls within a certain pH range and level of dissolved-mineral content. Most municipal water supplies are treated so that they fall within the correct ranges and work well with the AeroGarden. It helps that AeroGarden nutrient tablets contain a buffer that ensures the water in your AeroGarden is at the right pH for your plants. Most spring, well, softened or very "hard" waters have a high dissolved-mineral content level that can be problematic when used in your AeroGarden. It can interfere with the proper nutrient uptake by plants roots, which can prevent or slow the germination of seeds, severely stunt growth, and cause "chlorosis" or yellowing of the leaves. If you do not have access to ordinary municipal tap water, we recommend using inexpensive bottled "drinking" or "distilled" (not "spring") water instead, which is available at most supermarkets. |
